At Fluento Academy ,The English department has decided to separate the levels A2, B1 and B2 into sub-levels. This allows us to respect the number of learning hours required by the CEFR to attain each level and to provide targeted teaching at each stage of learning, helping students to assimilate the subject matter.

As the CEFR does not include sub-levels, a working group was specially organized to draw up syllabi as well as tests for these levels. The aim of these documents is to ensure coherency and consistency across different classes at the same level. The four language skills defined by the CEFR are included (listening, reading, spoken interaction,and spoken production).

For each sub-level, the following have been defined:

• the skills required
• the language or communicative content to be learnt in order to carry out the tasks in question
• the types of authentic and adapted material that can be used (this list is not exhaustive and is merely to give an indication of the type of language that is appropriate for the level)
• ideas for tasks that put into practice the skills and language learnt.
